The epistle to the Galatians is one of the most misunderstood book in the Brit Chadasha (Newer Covenant). Time and time again this book was used as an excuse to avoid doing biblical commandments and to refute and confuse those who want to follow the biblical statutes and ordinances. Is the book of Galatians the ultimate book to silence the whole Torah? If you look at certain passages in there, it appears that indeed the Law has been done away with. If it is, then there is a conflicting passage in the Scriptures making the Bible inconsistent. In this study, we will use the methods of Hermeneutics, the Christian exegesis to interpret biblical passages and in this case, the book of Galatians. Biblical Foundation of Truth Before we delve into exegesis of any biblical passage, we have to agree on the common biblical truths: 1. All Scripture is G-D’s breathe (2 Tim 3:16) 2. The Word of G-D does not change (Isa 40:8; Luke 21:33) 3. G-D does not change (Mal 3:6; Num 23:19; Heb 13:8) 4. Scripture passages cannot contradict or supersedes itself 5. Scripture is without error. 6. The Scripture interpret Scripture 7. The Bible is the sole authority of the truth Watch the Message >>

Since Yeshua is revealed in the Father´s name, do you think the Father could be revealed in the Son´s name? Yeshua said the Father was in Him and He in the Father. Further He said that He did the works of the Father. Two of the Father´s works are to bring salvation and Judgemtn, and two of G-D´s names evidence this. The name YHWH first appeared in the Bible in connection with the creation of Heaven and earth. Before that, only His name as Elohim is used. It is by the name of YHWH that G-D delivers the Israelites from Egypt. The first letter in G-D´s names are accepted abbreviations for the name. The picture meaning for "Yeshua" is as follows: Yod - YHWH, G-D in His capacity of mercy and grace Shin - Shaddai, G-D in His capacity as judge Vav - Nail, "and", to add, to secure Ayin - Eye, to see, know, experience Yeshua: Mercy, grace and judgement secured by knowledge and experience. To know Yeshua is to love G-D Elohim in His Love, Mercy, Grace and Judgement. Yeshua came once to bring mercy for salvation, for the many who will "choose" Him above all else. But He will come again to bring judgement. Watch the Message >> By Jonah Doctura | 2015INTRODUCTION
The greatest deception of the adversary made on this world is his deception of time - both on our night and day timer and the world´s calendar system. In the world´s time, the 7 days of the week bear the names of 7 pagan gods. It runs continuously and is artificial and man-made. Nothing in Creation declares this week. The truth is that YHWH Elohim completed all of His works in six days and rested on the seventh. He set apart a holy time, a time which belongs to Him alone, but is made and created for us, His Hole People. Creation declares this week (Gen 2:1-3), especially the light from the sun and the moon - known as "Mo´ed" or G-D´s appointed time. If you read Daniel 7:25, the evil one´s intention is to change times and laws. Concerning changing laws, he certainly has distorted Elohim´s laws with his deceptions that even the Torah has been done away with. The need to understand and examine the concept of "time" as revealed in the Bible is now more than ever "relevant". Watch the Message >> By Jonah Doctura | 2015INTRODUCTION
Transition has always been a problem for most Believers when faced with a reality that the Law of Moses does matter when they become Messianic and their relationship with the truth of Torah. We have reviewed the first five books of the Bible are the Law of Moses; but that the Old Testament has been relegated to ancient history by the Church, and the Law of Moses is singled out for distinction or extinction as to what is not to believe in the Christian faith. Christian teachers have taught their congregants for years to no longer follow the Torah and its Commandments. Instead, Christ has come and they now only follow Church teachings. Once they overcome the surprise that the Law of Moses does really matter, Messianics are suddenly faced with "how can I learn the Torah?" Like anything worth learning, there are steps in the process and you need unlearn "christianity". Beginning in the fall, immediately after the Feast of Tabernacles, the first portion of the Torah called B´reishit (In the Beginning - Genesis 1:1) is taught, which covers the first 5 chapters of Genesis. Each week that follows through the year then has a small portion following through the books of the Torah; this is the common annual cycle of reading. The Torah is Judaism´s most important text. It is composed of the Five Books of Moses and also contains the 613 commandments. The word Torah in Judaism means "to teach". The writings of the Torah are also part of the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible), which contains not only the five book of Moses but 39 other important Jewish texts. The word Tanakh is actually an acronym: "T" is for the Torah, "N" is for the Nevi´im (Prophets) and "K" is for Ketuvim (Writings). The five books of Moses begin with the creation of the world and end with the death the Moses. In Hebrew, the name of each book is derived from the first unique word that appears in that book. Genesis (B´reishit), means "In the Beginning". This book talks about the creation of the world, the Great Flood, and also tells the stories of Judaism´s patriarchs and matriarchs. These stories begin with Abraham and Sarah and end with Joseph in Egypt. Exodus (Sh´mot), means "names" in Hebrew. This book tells the story of the Israelites´ bondage in Egypt, their journey to Mt. Sinai (where the Ten commandments are received)and their wanderings in the wilderness. Leviticus (Vayikra), means "and He called" in Hebrew. This book deals mostly with priestly matters such as rituals, sacrifice, atonement and ritual purity. Numbers (BaMidbar) means "in the wilderness" in Hebrew. This book talks about the Israelites wanderings in the desert as they continue towards the Promised Land. Deuteronomy (D´varim) means "words" in Hebrew. This is the final book of the Torah. It recounts the Israelites´ journey according to Moses and ends with his death just before they enter the Promised Land. Watch the Message >> By Jaime Noriega | 2015INTRODUCTION
The commandment for counting the Omer is recorded within the Torah in Leviticus 23:15-16. However the obligation in post-temple destruction times is a matter of some dispute. While Rambam (Maimonides) suggests that the obligation is still biblical, most other commentaries assume that it is of a rabbinic origin in modern times. Counting the Omer (Hebrew Sefirat HaOmer) is an important verbal counting of each of the forty-nine days between the Jewish holidays of Passover and Shavuot as stated in the Hebrew Bible: Leviticus 23:15-16. The mitzvah (commandment) derives from the Torah commandment to count forty-nine days beginning from the day on which the Omer, a sacrifice containing an omer-measure of barley, was offered in the Temple of Jerusalem, up until the day before an offering of wheat was brought to the Temple on Shavuot. The Counting of the Omer begins on the second day of Passover (the 16th of Nisan) for Rabbinic Jews (Orthodox, Conservative, Reform), and after the weekly Shabbat during Passover for Karaite Jews, and ends the day before the holiday of Shavuot, the ´fiftieth day´. One of the most asked questions involves the practice of head coverings for both men and women. We would like to address this question on two levels. First we will look at the actual practice of wearing a physical head covering. Read Phillipians 2:5-8. Paul teaches that the believing husband is to submit himself completely to the Spirit of Messiah. The husband is not to pray or teach by any other authority than the Spirit of Messiah. The question we must now answer is this, "Why was the husband given the authority to be the head of the household?" To answer this question, we must return to the story of creation. The Torah makes it very clear that Adam or man was to be in the image of G-D. We know from Messiah, however, that G-D is spirit and not corporal. I want to be very clear that men do not have authority over woman. The idea that all man have authority over woman is a gross misapplication of the Scriptures. Men do not have authority over woman. Husbands have authority over their wives, and fathers have authority over their children. It is vitally important that we understand the difference between being a man and being a husband and father. Clearly, we see that the teaching of Paul rooted in the Torah. Adam was to be submitted to the Spirit of Messiah while Eve was to be submitted to her own husband. The idea that somehow now believers are to submit themselves to the authority of a rabbi, pope, preacher or pastor is wrong! Paul is quite clear that the head of every man is Messiah not the clergy. This system of elevating one man as the authority over the whole congregation of unsuspecting believers is called Nicolaitanism. The Greek word "Niko" means "to conquer". The Greek word "Laos" means "people". As a compound word, "Nicolaitanism" means "to conquer the people". The idea that all of Yeshua´s followers are now to submit themselves to a professional religious leader is a pagan practice. In fact, it is a practice that the resurrected Messiah hated. Innocent III was seeking to put a stop to the latest "Gnostic heresy", but found it to be entrenched throughout Europe, so he followed the "Cathar crusade" with the creation of the dreaded Inquisition, resulting in countless people being slowly and brutally tortured to death over the next 500 years for even the mere suspicion of heresy. Innocent also reinstated a prohibition against the owning or reading of Bibles by anyone other than clergy, under penalty of death. Some scholars today claimed that Christianity is more Gnosticism than Judaism and attempt to combine two related, but opposing systems of theology and thought. Christianity isn´t monotheism, but pantheism (meaning all-in-god, Wikipedia). Christianity and Gnosticism, both evolved from common roots in the vast Hellenistic (Greek) syncretism following Alexander the Great´s Empire. This belief is a by-product of often ignored period between the decline of Greece and the rise of Rome to about 300 AD. This is part of the 300 year gap between Malachi and Matthew. Col 2:18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind. On the biblical calendar, the olive harvest begins towards the end of October and continues about six weeks until the first week in December. This harvest falls after the Feast of Tabernacles, which is the Feast at the end of the harvest and, like the Feast of Passover/Unleavened Bread and the Feast of the Weeks, is a pilgrimage feast. The Bible teaches us that Israel is the olive tree which the Gentiles will be grafted in. Nowhere does the Bible teach that the Christian church would become a separate entity independent from its Jewish roots. So, what is the deal with the olive harvest? And why is it after the Feast of Tabernacles? Watch the Message >> |
