By Jonah Doctura | 2017INTRODUCTION Throughout the centuries, countless many Jews encountered Messiah Yeshua while reading the astonishing prophecy of Isaiah 53 and yielded their lives to Him. This became a very real threat to Rabbinical Judaism. As a result, Isaiah 53 came to be locked upon as the most embarrassing and dangerous prophecy to be silenced if possible. The truth is even the Messiah of Orthodox Jewish hopes, who is to be a glorified national King, wise and powerful, totally lacks the qualities of a Saviour of men from their sin. Compared with the matchless, holy, sinless, and regenerating Yeshua, the Son of G-D, the Messiah of the Jewish tradition pales into utter significance. There is a general belief prevalent in Christian circles that Yeshua [Jesus] was unlearned or unschooled - that His knowledge was divine and God-given. It is said, even by some Christian scholars, that because Yeshua [Jesus] was unschooled, the people of His day were amazed that he had some knowledge of the Scriptures. This line of thinking is fundamentally in error. The truth - the level of learning and education in 1st Century Galilee far exceeded that of Judea in Yeshua’s day. Yeshua [Jesus] was not only a Jew, He was a rabbi. He had had a thorough education, and when he appears on the scene, He appeared as a rabbi, recognized as such by his peers. Errors in Christian Perceptions. The Synagogue is the Jewish house of prayer and worship; but few Christians are aware that each synagogue usually had its own school. It reflects what the Jewish boy in Yeshua [Jesus]’ day would have been doing in each stage of his growth and development. Yeshua, Our Rabbi. In His day, the rabbi almost always had an occupation from which he derived his livelihood. He had not yet become the synagogal functionary that he became in a later period. He was, rather, an itinerant preacher functioning in much the same way as the prophet of the Old Testament. "Come, follow me" The call to discipleship sometimes necessitated heartrending decisions. It was, more often than not, a call to leave home. The call to discipleship often meant leaving mother, father, wife, children, relatives, friends and traveling the country under adverse and austere conditions. It meant leaving all.. The Oral Law: Halachah and Haggadah. Halachah is from the Hebrew root halach, meaning “to walk,” or “to go.” In other words, halachah is that path or way in which one is to walk. Halachah is the term used to refer to the whole legal system in Judaism. The haggadah is not written as a legal textbook, nor a digest of legal precedents. It is moral and ethical instruction about personal faith and the ways of G-D. Review of Purim. Perceiving the hand of G-D behind the scenes of the natural world requires the Jewish people to develop a new sensitivity to apprehend the Almighty in the natural world and enables us to flourish. Passover is a spring festival which during the existence of the Jerusalem Temple was connected to the offering of the "first-fruits of the barley", barley being the first grain to ripen and to be harvested in the Land of Israel. Passover is indeed one of the most widely observed holidays by the Jews. This being the case, it should not be surprising that the Festival of Passover would be used at the backdrop for interpreting the key events in Yeshua's First Coming. In this study, we will discover the truth behind the several conflicts within the Gospel accounts of the final days of Yeshua´s life. Census of Quirinius. The Jewish historian Josephus portrays the annexation and census as the cause of an uprising which later became identified with the Zealot movement. The author of the Gospel of Luke uses it as the narrative means by which Jesus was born in Bethlehem (Luke 2:1-5), and places the census within the reign of Herod the Great, who actually died 10 years earlier in 4 BCE. Matthew 22 and the traps of the religious groups. The goal of the parties is to trap Yeshua by asking him about different topics such as the Roman tax, Resurrection and the life after death, what is the Greatest Commandment and who is son the Messiah of. The Mix-up of views spices it all. Since Joseph and Nicodemus took the body of Yeshua and wound it in linen cloths with spices according to Jewish custom (Jn.19:40) - So, why did Mary and the women also prepare spices and when was this actually done? He that is hanged is accursed by G-D. John 19:31 in token, that now the guilt being removed, the law was satisfied, as it was when the malefactors had hanged till sun-set: it demanded no more. Then he, and those that are his, ceased to be a curse. Three days and three nights. This apparent conflict only surfaces because of the church tradition. The Church assume that the Shabbat to which the Scriptures were referring was the seventh day Shabbat, hence Yeshua would have been crucified and died in fact on a Friday. Visitors at the Tomb. Matthews utilizes a word which tells us [readers] that it was very early in the morning, just prior to dawn. It should be pointed out that in Jerusalem during this time of year, one can begin to see the darkness lessen well before 5:00 am. Who removed the stone? A common error translators and interpreters make in regard to this passage, is assuming that the angel responded to the women with the words "you shall not fear" because of the earthquake which had just witnessed. This is not the case. The fear was due to seeing the angel. Watch the Message >> By Jonah Doctura | 2017INTRODUCTION
In the picture of ‘Last Supper’ after eating, Yeshua took the cup and made the blessing saying that this cup (the wine inside the cup) represented His blood, that would be shed for the forgiveness of sins and the ratification of the New Covenant. The prophet Jeremiah spoke of the New Covenant in light of Redemption and the Forgiveness of Sins (Jeremiah 31:30-33). This being the case, it should not be surprising that the Festival of Passover would be used at the backdrop for interpreting the key events in Yeshua's First Coming. Passover or Pesach is an important, biblically derived Jewish holiday. The Jewish people celebrate Passover as a commemoration of their liberation by G-D from slavery in Egypt and their freedom as a nation under the leadership of Moses. It commemorates the story of the Exodus as described in the Hebrew Bible especially in the Book of Exodus, in which the Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. Therefore, Passover is known as the Festival of Redemption but, are the Passover events authentic and reliable? Many alleged biblical scholars have studied intently conflicting statements and some have concluded that the New Testament does not provide an historically accurate account of the events of Yeshua's final hours and hence should not be relied upon as the basis for establishing one's faith. Is their conclusion a real “foundation” for this belief? Watch the Message >> By Jonah Doctura | 2017INTRODUCTION
The Ten Commandments are abiding Laws for all people and not only given to the Hebrew people; all who would like to come into the commonwealth of Israel. Some of the Torah Instructions Bible seem to apply only to specific times, places, and persons; but the Ten commandments have an abiding quality about them. They convey duties for everyone and reveal to us the basic morality required by YHWH. While the Ten Commandments have universal validity, they are truly significant only when persons committed to the Elohim behind them. What makes Ten Commandments unique is the character of Elohim who gave them. Without the Father Almighty, the commandments lose their distinctiveness. The entire tree gets its nourishment from the Roots, which is Yeshua. Everything starts with Yeshua and He is the One giving life. The two pillars are mentioned it in the heart of the Torah: Deuteronomy 6:5 & Leviticus 19:18. The Seven Laws of Noah is a set of moral rules that were given by YHWH as a binding set of Laws for the children of Noah, meaning all of humankind. The first four commandments are related to one´s relationship with YHWH. The next six commandments have to do with human relationships (six being the number of man). It is important to note that right relationship with others follow being rightly related to YHWH. His instructions were given to correct us, to protect us and to give us direction; obviously, to enable me to live a righteous and holy life that is acceptable to YHWH. Before the Earth were formed, Abba Elohim knew and loved us so much that He devised so complex a plan for our redemption that even the angels couldn't fathom its depths. We can only begin to comprehend the meaning of true love as we gain a greater realization and understanding of the depths of His love and the intricacy of His plan for the Children of Faith. The Marriage Plan. YHWH promised Abraham that his seed would become many. This blessing was passed on to Isaac and Jacob. The Torah Covenant. Even though YHWH knew the heart of man, He loved His betrothed so much that He brought her out of Egypt unto Mt. Sinai and proposed His marriage covenant. Breaking the Covenant. Ahead of time YHWH also told them that if they do wrong and not be obedient to Him, then He will curse them by dispersing them amongst the heathens. A Bill of Divorce. After years and years of admonishments and pleas trying to woo Israel back into fidelity and trying not to divorce her, YHWH eventually gave up and had to divorce the House of Israel, the Northern Ten Tribes. Forgetting the Instructions. YHWH caused her to forget His Instruction laid out in the covenant; - forget His Sabbaths and accept a pagan substitute; to forget His festivals and accept pagan festivals… The Regathering of His people. YHWH said when she, Israel, has accepted her sin and shows remorse, He will go out of His way to charm and powerfully attract her. The Renewed Covenant. He took the penalty of our sin upon the crucifixion stake with Him because we couldn't overcome sin and keep YHWH´s Torah. Watch the Message >> |
