Introduction

Replacement theology. It is widely adhered to in Reformed circles; it simply advocates that the nation of Israel has been abolished and Israel's promises have been transferred to a new entity known as "the Church", which Elohim is exclusively working through. Any promises of a physical restoration of people to the Holy Land, is to be simply allegorized away as a sign of spiritual bounty. 

In contrast, dispensationalism believes that Israel's promises are still valid, but that Israel has been temporarily put aside because of the Jew's wide scale rejection of Yeshua, and that right now God is working through the Church. When the Church has been raptured to Heaven it is said, then God will once again deal with the nation of Israel.
Thus says the Lord,
Who gives the sun for a light by day,
The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,
Who disturbs the sea,
And its waves roar
(The Lord of hosts is His name):
"If those ordinances depart
From before Me, says the Lord,
Then the seed of Israel shall also cease

Introduction

The offerings of the Old Covenant. They consist of five major offerings:
1. Burnt offering
2. Meal offering
3. Peace offering
4. Sin offering
5. Trespass offering

The first three are voluntary and the last two are mandatory. It is not an option. If we took care of the first three but forgot the last two, the offerings are not acceptable before the Lord. 

​Yeshua is the fulfilment of all the five offerings.

For if by the one man’s [g]offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Introduction

Grace. In any western dictionary, grace is often defined simply as "unmerited favor". It is the receipt of something in which you did nothing to earn. In Christian language, God's grace is simply God extending His "unmerited favor" on His undeserving people.

According to the meaning of the Hebrew letters, grace (Hanan) shows that we would be outside and divided from Elohim if it weren't for the son, who provides the entrance to Salvation.

The Hebrew word for faith it is the Hebrew word emunah. It means "firmness, fidelity, faithfulness, stability, steady, truly, verily."
 Go [c]therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I amwith you always, even to the end of the age.” [d]Amen.

Introduction

Torah. This world literally means "instruction" or "teaching" in Hebrew and is often translated as Torah/Law. It specifically refers to the first five books of the Old Testament, also known as the Pentateuch or Mosaic Torah/Law.

Oral Torah/Law. These are extra Torah/Laws that were set in place by the Pharisees after the return from the Babylonian exile to prevent Israel from going into exile once again. They functioned as a fence to prevent Israel from disobeying the Torah.
These laws were by nature more restrictive than the Torah. The idea was that if these were not disobeyed, then Torah would not be disobeyed. Initially given orally, they were later written down and collected in the Talmud.

Separateness began to be deeply rooted in the Jews' national consciousness, we see this attitude reflected in such passages as in Jubilees 22:16
Separate yourself from the Gentiles, and do not eat with then.=, and do not perform deeds like theirs. And do not become associates of their. Because their deeds are defiles, and all of their ways are contained, and despicable, and abominable.
This reference to this passage is not found in the written Torah, or in the Bible, but rather is an added man-made rule designed to separate the Jews from the Gentiles. Later, this admonition became a law under the Oral torah of the Rabbis.
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

INTRODUCTION
G-d had promised that He would send a Deliverer to undo the curse of sin that befell on human race when Adam sinned in Genesis 3:15. The promised was fulfilled through the descendance of Abraham.

But, who is Abraham in the eyes of G-d?
Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. | Genesis 26:5
A True believer who follows G-d's instructions. With a father who worshipped idols and a city dedicated to wickedness, Abraham was not raised in the best of environments. Yet, when G-d called, Abraham heard the voice of G-d.
He did not confuse the voice of G-d with the idols and false gods that his father worshipped. 

A Father to all who believe, circumcised or not. It is apparent that Abraham believed that it was G-d who was speaking to him and because it was G-d, he believed the promise that G-d made to him.
G-d called Abraham to eternal life. A new life that began when he by faith trusted G-d's word to him.

A Torah teacher who commanded his generations to obey G-d's word. Abraham commanded them that they should observe the way of YHWH; that they should work righteosuness, and love his neighbour, and act on this manner amongst all men: that they should each so walk with regard to them as to do just judgement and righteousness on the earth. That they should circumcise their sons, according to the covenant which He had made with them, and not deviate to the right hand or the left of all the paths which YHWH had commanded us; and that we should keep ourselves from all fornication and uncleanness, and renounce from amongst us all fornication and uncleanness. | Jubilees 20

An example of Chesed (Kindness), far beyond the trials. Abraham represents chased, for the decisive factor in Abraham's personality was the unceasing urge to help others.
By definition, a Heavenly test is one that forces a person to choose between G-d's will and his own nature or understanding of what is right. Many of Abraham's trials involved behaviour which ran counter to his generous personality or which would have driven people away from his company.

INTRODUCTION
To understand the New Testament, it is essential that one understand the world of the founders of Messianic or the Way.
Jewish people are not specially familiar with the Old Testament. Most would question whether the Bible was even inspired by G-D. 
Most Jewish people are surprised to hear that Yeshua was Jewish and the New Testament was written by Jews.
Jewish people intuitively know that if they were to consider Yeshua, their families and friends would not understand them.
​The Will of Elohim is the Teaching of the Torah or Law of Moses for all Israel and also applies to the 'grafted in' from the nations. -Bro. Jonah Doctura, Elder-
Greek vs Hebrew Thought. Greek thought views the world through the mind in an abstract and intellectual way. Ancient Hebrew thought views the world through the senses in a concrete way.

The Written Torah and the Oral Torah. Traditional Judaism believes that when Moses was on Mount Sinai for 50 days and nights writing down the words of the Torah, G-D also provided him with additional explanations that were not explicitly incorporated into the written text.

Oral Torah. The exile was seen as divine punishment for neglect of the law, and accordingly during this period there was eran earnest turning to the law. Detailed exposition of the law appeared in the form of innumerable and highly specific injunctions that were designed to “build a hedge” around the written Torah and thus guard against any possible infringement of the Torah by ignorance or accident.

The Error of their ways. Regarding the Oral Law as more important than the Torah itself. The Mishnah is the basis of the Oral law and its formulation was entirely the work of the sages. There is no suggestion that the text is of divine origin.

Authority of the Rabbis. This doctrine believes that the pharisaic, rabbinical Judaism have absolute authority to interpret Scriptures, but it was commanded in the Torah that we should not add or take away from the Torah.

Incline after the Majority. In the Torah there are It emphasizes that a prophet who prophesies something contrary to the Oral law, even if the Scripture agrees with the prophet, that prophet must be executed.

Tradition of Men. Gal 2:19 For I through the law (Torah) died unto the law (Oral Law) that I might live unto Elohim.

INTRODUCTION
​Tabernacle means “tent,” “place of dwelling” or “sanctuary.” It was a sacred place where G-D chose to meet His people, the Israelites, during the 40 years they wandered in the desert under Moses’ leadership. It was the place where the leaders and people came together to worship and offer sacrifices.

It was a mobile tent with portable furniture that the people traveled with and set up wherever they pitched camp. The tabernacle would be in the center of the camp, and the 12 tribes of Israel would set up their tents around it according to tribe. The instruction on how to build the tabernacle was first given to Moses in the wilderness, who then gave the orders to the Israelites. “…make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.” (Exodus 25:8)

In this study we will understand the Tabernacle as a highly symbolic work of a spiritual truth.

The Teachings from the Tabernacle. The door of the outer court curtain contained three colours woven into white linen fabric:  blue, purple and crimson. These four colours speak of the different attributes of Yeshua whom Scripture likens to the door of salvation.

G-D's dwelling in our midst. The building represents something physical but it is a metaphor of something spiritual. The L-RD is telling us that He may dwell in our midst.

"Make them after the pattern..." The L-RD's instruction to Moses was to make everything after the pattern that was shown in the mountain. It is important to Him that we follow His instructions because He has greater purposes with what He requires from us.

Inside of the Ark of the Covenant. There is the commandments of the L-RD written in two tablets of stone, which represents the Testimony of Yeshua, the Living Torah.

The Torah became flesh. What is the truth? As it is declared in Psalms 119:142, the word of YHWH is the truth, the Same who became flesh and dwelt among us. It is impossible then, that the Torah is done away with.

Symbolic figures of our Saviour. The jar of manna inside of the ark points to Yeshua as the bread of life who came from Heaven and the Aaron's staff speaks of Yeshua as the ultimate High Priest.

Know ye not that your body is the Temple of G-D? According to the Scripture, we are the Mishkan, and therefore, the Spirit of G-D who dwells in us will lead us to keep the commandments.

INTRODUCTION
As a believers, we need to understand the Torah/Tanakh is the foundation of the New Testament. Yeshua the Messiah is the fulfillment of prophecies of the Law and the Prophets. The Messiah's death and the establishment of a New Covenant is a chief focus of the Tanakh.
The Messiah would come, suffer and die for the sins of the world; through the Messiah's death, G-D would establish a New Covenant. The New Covenant would establish an eternal relationship between G-D and fallen humanity.

The New Testament Canon confirms and testifies to the life of Yeshua the Messiah, who established the New Covenant in accordance to the Old Testament canon.

The Torah is the Written Law. It consists of the books of the Hebrew Bible called the Tanakh. Tanakh is an acronym for Torah (instructions), Nevi'im (Prophets) and K'tuvim (Writings).

The Word Torah and its Meaning. It is a scroll made from kosher animal parchment, with the entire text of the Five Books of Moshe written in it by a ritual scribe.

The Five Books of Moshe. Any printed version of the Torah can be called a Chumash or Pentateuch; this is as Moshe received it from YHWH at Mount Sinai and written word by word.

The Entire Body of Jewish Law. In Rabbinical Judaism, this includes the Written and the Oral Law, which includes the Mishnah, the Midrash and the Talmud written during the Babylonian captivity and even latter day legal commentaries.

The Oral Law. The Oral Law also comprises the legal and interpretative traditions that, according to tradition, were transmitted orally by YHWH to Moshe in conjunction with the Written Torah. The Oral Law was ultimately recorded in the Mishnah, the Talmud and Midrash.

An Unbroken Chain of Transmission. The distinctive feature of this view was that Oral Law was "conveyed by word of mouth and memorized".

The Interpretative Tradition. In this view, the written Torah was seen as containing many levels of interpretation. It was left to later generations, who were steeped in the oral tradition of interpretation, to discover those ("hidden") interpretations not revealed by Moshe.

INTRODUCTION
In the Scripture, the biblical act of immersing oneself in a natural water source is called T´vilah. In ancient times a stream or river was used, but in modern times a specially constructed pool called a Mikveh is normally used. 

As believers in the L-RD Yeshua, the term Baptism plays a significant part of our walk with our Messiah. How can the T´vilah and Mikveh of Judaism become important concepts in our lives today?
"After our immersion for salvation, we feast publicly to confess that the body of Yeshua was broken and His blood shed for us to atone for our sins." -Bro. Jonah Doctura, Elder-
3 Types of Ritual Washing.
1. Complete Immersion, for married women and proselytes.
2. Washing of hands and feet, prescribed for the priests in the Temple.
3. Washing of the hands, before sitting down to a meal and before praying, upon rising from sleep and after the elimination of bodily wastes, also after being of proximity to a dead human body. 

Why do you go into a Mikveh? Before you go for a Mikveh, you should discern why you go into the water. It is an outward manifestation of an inward graft that´s happened in your life, a change in your life. That day it was to be for Repentance.

Why was Yochanan immersing? John the Baptist was fulfilling the words of Isaiah the prophet: A voice of One calling in the desert, ´Prepare the Way of the L-RD, make straight paths for Him´. It was a Mikveh for something special and different. A Mikveh for Repentance.

What is sin and why do we must repent? Sin is an act or deed against G-D and His Torah by failure, the breaking of a covenant with G-D or fellow man, being crooked by cheating, swindling, dishonesty or being a deceiver in general.

T'shuvah: it is a call to return to G-D. Elohim will not pardon man unconditionally but waits for him to repent. In repentance, man must experience genuine remorse for the wrong he has committed (ceasing to do evil) and then convert his penitential energy into concrete acts (start doing what is good).

After the Mikveh: The evident new birth. We must acknowledge our sins and second, repent and turn from our evil ways and deeds. After that, going through the Mikveh separates us from our past. Only then is new birth or rebirth evident by our deeds and actions. 

Begin to learn the Torah. Once a person has decided to commit his life to G-D, he needs to start a process of learning His law in order to remain in the presence of a Righteous G-D with righteous deeds.

INTRODUCTION
The origin of the Parashot (paragraphs) or the Weekly Torah Portion we read every Shabbat dates from the time when the original manuscripts did not contain the chapter and verse divisions in the numbered form familiar to modern readers.

YESHUA´S MIKVEH >The New Covenant points out that Yeshua came up straightway out of the water in Matthew 3:16. Yochanan the Immerser was Yeshua´s witness and he was of priestly lineage (Luke 1:8-23)

THE MEANING OF THE MIKVEH >​It is taught that immersion is a picture of birth (or rebirth), as it symbolizes the re-entry into the womb and re-entry into life. 

THE IMMERSION IN THE GREAT COMISSION >​It is a commandment given by Adonai Yeshua Himself to immerse those who are disciples in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20)

THE SHEMA: THE HEBREW PRAYER EVERYONE NEEDS TO RECITE >​The traditional Hebraic Immersion and the Shema go hand in hand. When the Orthodox Jews completely immerse three times, he has declared YHWH is echad or YHWH is one. 

A LIFE IMMERSED IN THE TORAH >The ancient Jewish sages also taught tat the word Mikveh has the same letters as Ko Meh, the Hebrew word for "rising" or "standing tall"; therefore, we have immersion or being completely submerged in water followed by standing straight up out of the water. It represents a life immersed in the Torah.

THE SYMBOLISM OF THE THREE TIMES OF IMMERSION >Through this we see the pattern of repentance, cleansing and in-filling of the Ruach HaKodesh, and the Triune nature of YHWH in these 3 submergings

BIBLICAL MIKVEH IS FOR MATURE BELIEVERS  >Mikveh is a very holy and special act a person can perform, bringing themselves closer to YHWH and in infilling of the Holy Spirit. Even Peter´s advice to those Jews asking what they should do concerning YHWH and Yeshua when Peter was preaching after being filled with the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.​
