By Richard Sison | 2014People need to be aware if their group or religious affiliation is being tagged as a cult. It should be a warning sign to make sure whether the accusation has some bearings or none at all. No one should not take this for granted for if it is true, their reputation, financial situation and most of all, their eternal state is at stake.
The origin of the word cult is from the French culte or Latin cultus, originally denoting homage paid to a divinity. In modern times, it is define as a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object; a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister. It is also characterized for a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing. “A cult of personality sorrounding the leaders”, sinonyms of: obsession with, fixation on, mania for, passion for, idolization of, devotion to, worship of, veneration of a leader or someone or something other than the True G-D. Characteristics of How determine if a system belief is a cult 1. What they believe about Yeshua/Jesus. If they don’t recognize or openly deny that He is G-D in the flesh, they are a cult. 2. What they believe about the Bible. G-D’s word is eternal and those who only recognize one part or state that some parts are not still valid, are a cult. 3. What they believe how the salvation can be reached. There is no other source of Salvation besides Yeshua and it can be attained through Him alone. Watch the Message >>
