INTRODUCTION
There is a dearth of understanding baptism among Christianity and it is one of the most misunderstood teachings in the Scripture as "immersion". But immersion or the doctrine of washing (baptisms) is as important as knowing the commandment of Elohim.
Baptism was and is a Biblical ritual called "tevilah", more commonly known as "mikvah", that has been practiced regularly by all Israel since the days of Moses.

In Hebrews 6:1-2, the writer states that the teachings of the Messiah are:
  • Foundation of repentance from dead works
  • Faith toward Elohim
  • Of the instructions/ doctrine of immersion/baptism.. laying on of hands
  • Resurrection of the dead
  • Eternal Judgement
In the Torah when Jewish men went to the Temple three times a year on Pesach, Shavuot and Sukkot, they would go into the Mikvah before entering the Temple to offer their sacrifices. For the observant Jew, the mikvah emulates both the womb and the grave and consequently, a rebirth. It is regarded as a pure, unadulterated avenue of connection with Elohim; it is a place where hope is reawakened, inspire and strengthened.
