Understanding the Scripture in the right context is the first step toward eliminating bias, as follows: The Hebrew texts were written by authors with a Hebrew understanding of such things as "faith" or "salvation" or "law". Therefore, they were written with the assumption that the readers have some grounding in Torah. Sadly, non-Jewish and even anti-Jewish theology have tainted the text itself and its interpretation.
Studying the Bible is a serious matter. The early writers warned the readers about the importance of testing every spirit, the teachings and teachers.
But there also came to be false prophets among the people, as also among you there shall be false teachers, who shall secretly bring in destructive heresies, and deny the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.
