BY RICHARD SISON | 2014INTRODUCTION Shmini Atzeret (the Eight Day) is the last day of the Feast of Sukkot and at the same time, Simchat Torah, the closing of the reading of the Torah is celebrated as well, which means it is the last day when the last portion of the Torah is read to start with the Beginning (B´reshit) of the reading cycle again. Therefore it is an important day to understand some facts about the Torah: - The Torah or G-D´s word is still valid until heaven and earth pass away (Matt 5:17-18) and this is revealed in Rev 21 and it will happen after the coming of Adonai Yeshua. According to Deuteronomy 30:15-19, the actual Heavens and Earth are the two witnesses of the giving of the Torah. We can trust that as long as heaven and earth remain, the word of G-D remains as well. - The Word of G-D is forever because He cannot change. -Yeshua taught obedience to the Torah and never broke any of the commandments. -It is good to distinguish between the Law of G-D and many practices and traditions that come from the oral tradition, the Talmud, that Yeshua did not practice or follow. He even spoke against these practices and traditions of men in contrast of G-D´s word, which are not really in the Torah and He was not interested to follow nor His disciples to follow them either. - It is ok to protect the commandments of G-D to prevent yourself from sinning but the problem is when the tradition is held above the Torah itself. In conclusion, if you do not want to follow the commandments of G-D while you are on Earth, probably you will not enjoy following them in the New Heaven and the New Earth. Watch the Message >>
