BY RICHARD SISON | 2018INTRODUCTION During this time, the whole Jewish community from around the world celebrate Passover as a commemoration of their freedom for over 3 millennia from being slaves in ancient Egypt that led to the birth of the nation of Israel under the leadership of Moses. Passover commemorates the story on how G-D judged the the Egyptians, the enemy of His people, as described in the Hebrew Bible, by killing all the first-born sons among the Egyptians and their livestock. This monumental event caused the people of the L-RD to be freed from the bondage of slavery and was led to the promise land. Since Yeshua is our Passover, we have a perfect hope. The Bible alludes Passover as our blessed hope. Let us examine the following verses, to wit: 1. Preparation of table in the midst of the enemies (Psa 23:5) 2. Observance of Passover in Millennial kingdom (Eze 45:21) 3. Sitting/Reclining with the Patriarchs - Mat 8:11 “And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down [Gk. anaklino - to lean back] with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.” 4. Called from the four winds to “sit down” in the Kingsdom (Luke 13:24-30) 5. Attending the Great Banquet (Matt 22:1-14; Luke 14:15-24) 6. Celebrating passover in G-D’s kingdom - Mat 26:29 “But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.” (ref: Luke 22:18) 7.
