בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית בָּרָ֣א אֱלֹהִ֑ים אֵ֥ת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וְאֵ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃ In the original Hebrew text of the Bible we read that "אֵ֥ת" is the Creator of all things. Aleph (אֵ֥) is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and Tav (ת) is the last one. Using PaRDeS, we understand that the Creator of all things is known as the Aleph Tav, meaning the First and the Last. YHWH made Himself known to Israel as the First and the Last, He who called the generations "from the beginning" (Isaiah 41:4). Also Yeshua (Jesus) revealed Himself as the Aleph Tav. In Revelation 22:13 we read: "I am the A and the Z, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." The fact is the Renewed Covenant (NT) was written in Greek, where we can find "Alpha" and "Omega", that could be said in Hebrew "Aleph" and "Tav", because that was Yeshua ́s earthly language. Likewise, "Alpha" is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and “Omega, the last one. Reading these passages we realized that Yeshua is YHWH in the flesh and the Creator of all things. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through Him, and without Him nothing made had being." John 1:1-3 Yeshua, the One who is since the beginning, promised to be with the believers “always, even until the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20), and to those who remain faithful, even to the point of death, He will give them life as their crown (Rev 2:10). By Richard Sison | 2014People need to be aware if their group or religious affiliation is being tagged as a cult. It should be a warning sign to make sure whether the accusation has some bearings or none at all. No one should not take this for granted for if it is true, their reputation, financial situation and most of all, their eternal state is at stake.
The origin of the word cult is from the French culte or Latin cultus, originally denoting homage paid to a divinity. In modern times, it is define as a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object; a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister. It is also characterized for a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing. “A cult of personality sorrounding the leaders”, sinonyms of: obsession with, fixation on, mania for, passion for, idolization of, devotion to, worship of, veneration of a leader or someone or something other than the True G-D. Characteristics of How determine if a system belief is a cult 1. What they believe about Yeshua/Jesus. If they don’t recognize or openly deny that He is G-D in the flesh, they are a cult. 2. What they believe about the Bible. G-D’s word is eternal and those who only recognize one part or state that some parts are not still valid, are a cult. 3. What they believe how the salvation can be reached. There is no other source of Salvation besides Yeshua and it can be attained through Him alone. Hundreds years past, Hebrew idioms have been literally translated into English. An ancient manuscript written to a Jewish culture has been deciphered and changed, to fit today´s modern society. So, when we read the Scriptures, we are reading the work of translators and scholars. The Bible Scholars have transformed an ancient Hebrew document, by substituting English words for the original Aramaic - Hebrew words. And many times over, thought the words are translated correctly, the original Hebraic thought is lost. The words are there but the meaning is missing. When idioms are hidden behind literal reading, confusion sets in. Hebrew scholars contend that this disorder portrays Biblical concepts in incorrect manners and present ideas that are not representative to the original Hebraic thought. Remember that an idiom is an expression from a local culture. That is the reason why it is important for the believer to scrutinize the Bible and read it in its original languages, searching for the deeper and true meaning of the Scriptures. Watch the Message >> By Richard Sison | 2014There are many important words in the Bible that we often assume what it means and never bother to question them and we immediately jump into "more important" things. However, most likely than not, we build wrong theologies or develop wrong belief-system that is complete unbiblical. Proper understanding of the Scriptures involves correct understanding of the terminologies used. We have to remember that our Bible has been translated from Hebrew and Greek into English.
We have to make sure that we understand the real meaning of the message and not the way the translators want us to understand the word of G-D. There were some translators who gave their lives because they did not approve to the misrepresentation of words. As part of our due diligence, we have to at least go deeper to what is being presented to us so we will not be misled to believe of something that is incorrect. In this study we will know and learn the meaning of the word Sin, Repentance, Confession, Mercy and Grace. Watch the Message >> By Richard Sison | 2014There are a substantial number of people in the circles of Christianity and even among the messianic who agrees with the Jewish rabbis that Yeshua is just a man. During the first century, even during the time of Yochanan (John) the apostle, there were some who deny that Yeshua became a man (1 John 4:2). In this case, there is no argument about whether or not Yeshua became a man but rather, He is just a man.
Yeshua can do that only G-D can Now let us examine the claims of Yeshua that can only be attributed to G-D. 1. Only G-D can forgive sins but He can, too (Mark 2:5-12) 2. Only G-D can judge but He an (Isa 33:22; James 4:12; John 5:22) 3. Only G-D can raise the dead and give eternal life but He can (John 10:28, 5:21) 4. No one has seen G-D and lived but Yeshua did (Exo 33:20; John 1:18; Isa 6:2) 5. Only G-D is omniscient but Yeshua knows all man (Psalms 139:1-4; Mark 2:8; John 2:24-25) 6. Only G-D does not change so is Yeshua (Mal 3:6; Heb 13:8) 7. Only G-D can create things but Yeshua can (Col 1:16; John 1:1-2) Watch the Message >> By Richard Sison | 2014Sukkot is a biblical pilgrimage festival that occurs in autumn on the 15th day of Tishrei (late September to late October). The holiday lasts seven days, including Chol Hamoed. In Judaism it is one of the three major holidays known collectively as the Shalosh Regalim (three pilgrim festivals also known as appearance Feasts), when historically the Jewish populace traveled to the Temple in Jerusalem and the Jewish men are required to present themselves before the L-RD.
Since the Feast came during the time of final harvest, Sukkot was regarded as a general thanksgiving for the bounty of nature for that given year. The word Sukkot is the plural of the Hebrew word sukkah which means booth or hut. Sukkah is reminiscent of the type of huts in which the ancient Israelites dwelt during their 40 years of wandering in the desert after the Exodus from Egypt. During this holy day, all the Jews are commanded to construct and reside in booths. Here families would eat their meals, entertain guests, spend family time, and share the Scripture with their children and even sleep. This is a reminder to all that we only live a temporary dwelling here on Earth and we have to look forward to a permanent dwelling coming from the L-RD Himself. Yeshua promised that He will prepare a place for us (John 14:3). Abraham gave us also an example that though he was a rich, he did not build a walled city but rather looked for a city with eternal foundation (Heb 11:10). The L-RD also tabernacle with His people in the person of Yeshua when He came as a man during the first century. To even emphasize the point was that Yeshua was born on this Feast as will be discussed shortly. Three of many interesting facts about Sukkot in this message are:
Watch the Message >> By Jonah Doctura | 2014Adonai Yeshua indicated that we could understand the future by understanding the past (Matt 24:37-41). In Daniel 7:23-27, we read that the enemy will "speak words against the Most High and try to exhaust the holy ones of the Most High" and, "he will attempt to alter the seasons and the law; and [the holy ones] will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time." If you believe that the righteous are the "saints", then it is the righteous, who will be oppressed and handed over to the fourth beast. It is the righteous then, who will ultimately have the sovereignty, power and the greatness of the kingdoms! If all the righteous are "rapture to heaven", then who is oppressed nd handed over? Who will be ruling? Revelation 2:26-28 says that those who overcome and do the L-RD´s will, will receive authority over the nations. If the righteous are the overcomers, then they will be ruling on the earth! So why would they be "raptured" to heaven? In many passages like Psalms 37:8-11, 27-29; Rev 5:9-10 it is clearly stated that the righteous will inherit the earth while the wicked will be cut off. Watch the Message >> By Richard Sison | 2014It is the time of year during the High Holy Days that the Sabbath between the Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur is observed and this is called by the Jewish people as Shabbat Shuvah or Shabbat of Return.
Today, people should ask themselves what they have to return from, just as the people asked in the ancient times (Mal 3:7). Whether we believe it or not, the Bible speaks about these things both in the Tanakh and in the Brit Chadasha. The problem of many of us, we take these things for granted. We think we are free and we think we are saved and thus we can continue to do our merry ways without worry at all. We think that our simple prayer of acceptance gives us the ticket to heaven no matter what. We´d been assured of our salvation that we simply smirk and smile with full expectation that our salvation is drawing nigh even though most of us live a life of sinfulness. This belief is not biblical and we need to think again. As a quick glance, we may think that the G-D of Israel seem tough and hard to please and need several days of prayer before we can attain forgiveness. The problem is that Christian theology especially during reformation distorted the practice of repentance. We are being told that a simple sorry, some sort of confession of sin in prayer, we automatically receive forgiveness immediately and we are free of guilt. The verse they often quote is 1 John 1:9. The word "confess" there is "homologeo" in Greek which means "to speak agreeable to the fact and truth". But what is the fact and what is the truth? The word of G-D is in fact the truth! "Homologeo" would literally mean that we are in agreement with the word of G-D that we did commit sin. John defined sin in the clearest manner in 1 John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law; for sin is the transgression of the law." Do you see any Scriptural reference that a simple single prayer is enough to seek G-D´s forgiveness? What I see in the Scripture are examples of true repentance and we really have to show to G-D that we agree with Him that we transgressed His commandments and we have to show remorse and change of our ways. Repentance in Greek is "metanoia"which literally means compuction. It is an anxiety (distress of mind) from awareness of guilt. It involves reformation or reversal of act. Repentance is not about G-D being hard to please but a show of anxiousness that we have sinned and recompense for it. Watch the Message >> By Richard Sison | 2014Historians have classified six explanations as to why people hate the Jews. As we examine the explanations, we must understand if they are causes or excuses for Anti-Semitism. If one takes away the cause, then Anti-Semitism should no longer exist. If one can show a contradiction to the explanation, it demonstrates that the "cause" is not a reason, it is just an excuse. Let´s look at the reasons why the Jews are hated and their contradictions.
1.Economic: "We hate Jews because they possess too much wealth and power". The fact is the Jews of 17th-20th century Poland and Russia were dirt poor, had no influence and yet they were hated. 2.Chosen People: "We hate Jews because they arrogantly claim that they are the chosen people". There are two contradictions to this declaration: a) In the late 19th century, the Jews of Germany denied "Choseness", and then they worked on assimilation. Yet, the holocaust started there. b) Christians and Muslims profess to being the "Chosen people", yet the world and the anti-Semites tolerate them. 3.Scapegoat: "Jews are a convenient group to single out and blame for our troubles". Any group must already be hated to be an effective scapegoat. The Scapegoat Theory does not then cause anti-Semitism. Rather, anti-Semitism is what makes the Jews a convenient scapegoat target. 4.Deicide: "We hate Jews because they killed Jesus". a) The Christian Bible says the Romans killed Jesus, though Jews are mentioned as accomplices (claims that Jews killed Jesus came several years later). How come the accomplices are persecuted and there is not an anti-Roman movement through history? b) Yeshua himself said: "Forgive them (i.e., the Jews), for they know not what they do". The Second Vatican Council in 1963 officially exonerated the Jews as the killers of Yeshua (Jesus). Neither statement of Christian belief lessened anti-Semitism. 5.Outsiders: "We hate Jews because they are different than us". (The dislike of the unlike). With the Enlightenment in the late 18th century, many Jews rushed to assimilate. Anti-Semitism should have stopped. Instead, for example, with the Nazis came the cry, in essence: "We hate you, not because you are different, but because you are trying to become like us! We cannot allow you to infect the Aryan race with your inferior genes." 6.Racial Theory: "We hate Jews because they are an inferior race." The overriding problem with this theory is that it is self-contradictory: Jews are not only a race. Anyone can become a Jew, and members of every race, creed and color in the world have done so at one time or another. Hate has led to the death of millions of Jews and unfair treatment and banishment of millions of Jewish people around the world. The Scriptures is very clear that in the last days, the persecution of the Jews will reach its peak and then the Messiah will come back to save His people. Israel and the Jewish people plays a central role in the history of the world and its apocalyptic end. Also, those who follow the commandments of the L-RD and the testimony of Yeshua (Rev 12:17); who are circumcised in the flesh and in the heart (Ezek 44:9) and practice the Law of G-D and not transgress them (Rom 2:25); the Children of Abraham who do the deeds of Abraham (John 8:39; Gen 26:5) and the off-spring of Israel are considered Jews and they will be persecuted too. Watch the Message >> By Richard Sison | 2014Among the Christian circle, Paul is believed to have preached against the Law. His famous verse is often quoted that we are not under the law but under grace. The question is that what is exactly the law (or Nomos in Greek) that Paul is referring to? Does it refer to the Torah and G-D´s commandments given to Moses? Most of Paul´s writings, if not all, are addressed to Greek speaking believers both Jews and Non-Jews.
Nomos came from a Greek root word which means "to allot" and thus has the sense of "what is proper", "what is assigned to someone". In ancient times it has a comprehensive range of meaning which embraces any kind of existing or accepted norm, order, custom, usage or tradition. Nomos is what is valid in use and Nomos also was referred to the "word of the gods". From Paul´s point of view, having been raised in the Greek culture though he was a full Jew, Nomos is a tradition. During that time, the Greeks started to add their customs in a formal law, making them part of the law. It became an obligation for free men to obey (but for the slaves, the law does not apply to them). Notice please that when the Torah was translated into Nomos in the XLL or Septuagint, the Jewish translators were referring to the oral commandments that were given by G-D before Moses´ time which had passed from generation to generation, and not customs or traditions of man. The Scripture recorded that Paul followed the commandments of G-D as written in the Torah. The book of Acts says that it was his custom to go to the synagogues and preach there on the Sabbath day, and to celebrate the Appointed Times of the L-RD like the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Shavuot (Pentecost, Acts 9:20, 12:3, 13:5,44, 14:1, 16:3, 17:2). He also circumcised Timothy (Acts 16:3) and took a Nazarite vow and brought offerings to the Temple (Acts 21:26). If you read the Scriptures carefully, the commandments are said to be permanent and eternal and Paul knew that. He never said that the Torah is done away with but he refers to the traditions and customs of the fathers. Watch the Message >> |
