Introduction

Haazinu is the first word in the parsha and is the 53rd weekly Torah portion in the annual Jewish cycle of Torah reading and the 10th in the Book of Deuteronomy.
Haazinu is a Hebrew for “listen" translated in KJV as “give ear”, and the word is used when the message is directed to more than one person.
The parsha covers Deut 32:1–52 and it sets out the Song of Moses, pertaining to the pronouncement of the Israelites' sins, a prophecy of their imminent punishment due to disobedience, and a promise of the L-RDS’s eventual redemption of them.
The Rock! His work is perfect,
for all his ways are just.
A trustworthy God who does no wrong,
he is righteous and straight.

Introduction

The parsha narrates the ceremony of the first fruits (Heb: bikkurim), instructions about the tithes, and
the blessings from obeying and curses from violation of the Torah.

The L-RD provided a key instruction to the Israelites upon entering the Land:
  1. Collect the first of all the produce of the ground for offering(v.2)
  2. Go to the priest and declare that he entered the land (v.3)
  3. The priest shall take the offering and set it down before the L-RD G-d (v.4)
  4. Recite a specific prayer before the L-RD (v.5-10)
I have listened to the voice of the L-RD my G-d; I have done according to all that You have commanded me.
