Haazinu is the first word in the parsha and is the 53rd weekly Torah portion in the annual Jewish cycle of Torah reading and the 10th in the Book of Deuteronomy. Haazinu is a Hebrew for “listen" translated in KJV as “give ear”, and the word is used when the message is directed to more than one person. The parsha covers Deut 32:1–52 and it sets out the Song of Moses, pertaining to the pronouncement of the Israelites' sins, a prophecy of their imminent punishment due to disobedience, and a promise of the L-RDS’s eventual redemption of them.
