The Hebrew text writes: B’reishit bara Elohim et hashamayim v’et ha’aretz, which means “In the beginning G-D created the heavens and the earth.” The first ever foreign translation of Hebrew Torah, known as LXX wrote it in a different format: “G-D created the world in the beginning.”"
“In his [Moses] exordium, as I have already said, is most admirable; embracing the creation of the world, under the idea that the law corresponds to the world and the world to the law, and that a man who is obedient to the law, being, by so doing, a citizen of the world, arranges his actions with reference to the intention of nature, in harmony with which the whole universal world is regulated.”
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death. Proverbs 8:29-36
